PATHODETECT RT-PCR KIT FOR DETECTION OF SALMONELLA
ABOUT SALMONELLA INFECTIONS
Salmonella is a leading cause of bacterial gastroenteritis and responsible for 1.4 million cases of human illness each year. Common sources for transmitting these foodborne pathogens are raw meat including beef, pork, and poultry products. Other food products such as milk, cheese, eggs, vegetables, and ready-to-eat food also could be contaminated with these pathogens. Consumption of food contaminated by these pathogens has caused numerous infections and resulted in numerous foodborne outbreaks.
MYLAB SALMONELLA DETECTION KIT
Mylab PathoDetect™ Salmonella Detection kit is an in vitro nucleic acid amplification test for the detection of all members of Salmonella sp. in samples of food origin. This diagnostic test kit utilizes the RT-PCR for detection.
A combination of validated primers, hydrolysis probes, and hot-start DNA polymerase ensures that the kit leads to highly-specific and ultrasensitive results in a single step.
